Volleyball Game Preview: La Jolla Vikings vs. Clairemont Chieftains

The La Jolla Vikings will square off against the Clairemont Chieftains at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, La Jolla came up short against Francis Parker and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23, 24-26, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Clairemont also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Cathedral Catholic by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 24-26, 25-16, 25-17.

Clairemont has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-7 record this season. As for La Jolla, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.
