Preview: KIPP College Prep Panthers vs. Bard Falcons

After two games on the road, KIPP College Prep is heading back home. They will take on the Bard Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in District of Columbia (KIPP College Prep is ranked 24th, while Bard is ranked 33rd).

Even though Paul Public Charter International scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, KIPP College Prep still came out on top. KIPP College Prep walked away with a 70-58 win over Paul Public Charter International.

KIPP College Prep can attribute much of their success to Joey Mitchell, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and four steals, and Mikah Prescott-Bell, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. It was the first time this season that Prescott-Bell scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Dajuan Jones, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Meanwhile, Bard's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Coolidge, falling 66-30.

KIPP College Prep's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Bard, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-23.
