Basketball Recap: Troy Takes a Loss

Troy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 33-27 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clifton Cubs. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cubs earlier this season, when they won 43-41.

Clifton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camy Barsh out in front who posted 13 points along with eight boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Barsh a new career-high in rebounds. Avary Woosley was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Troy's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Clifton, they pushed their record up to 15-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Troy has already played their next matchup, a 44-41 win against Whitney on the 31st. As for Clifton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 34-25 victory against McGregor on the 31st.
