Softball Recap: Plainview Takes a Loss

After flying high against Palo Duro last Thursday, Plainview came back down to earth. The Plainview Bulldogs lost 13-3 to the Coronado Mustangs on Saturday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Kaylee Sifuentes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Coronado, they moved to 4-9 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Plainview and Coronado will both be playing Caprock the next time they take the field. Coronado will head out to face Caprock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Plainview will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
