Maiden is 9-1 against Lincolnton since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Maiden Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Lincolnton Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Maiden came up short against St. Stephens on Thursday, falling 14-2.

Maiden saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Whittaker, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Lincolnton's offense. They lost 11-0 to Patton on Wednesday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maiden now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Lincolnton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Maiden has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lincolnton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Maiden took their win against Lincolnton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0. Will Maiden repeat their success, or does Lincolnton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
