Basketball Recap: Dobie Takes a Loss

Dobie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Shadow Creek Sharks, falling 87-37. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 942nd, while the Sharks are ranked fifth).

Dobie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Shadow Creek, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dobie will be home for the holidays to greet South Houston at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shadow Creek, they will host Pasadena Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shadow Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Pasadena Memorial likes a good challenge.
