Volleyball Recap: ThunderRidge Comes Up Short

ThunderRidge came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Heritage Eagles, falling 3-0. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-13.

Avery Levering paced ThunderRidge's offense, picking up four kills. Levering got some help from Cambria Kelley and her nine assists. Kelley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anneclaire Fieger, who had nine digs and four assists. Those nine digs gave Fieger a new career-high. Avery Samson was another key player, getting eight digs and four assists.

ThunderRidge's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Heritage, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

ThunderRidge has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Regis Jesuit on the 25th. As for Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Rock Canyon on the 25th.
