Basketball Recap: Blair Takes a Loss

Blair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The match between them and the La Canada Spartans didn't end well, with the Blair Vikings falling 79-64. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Spartans are ranked 97th).

When it comes to explaining why Blair lost, don't look at Timmy Anderson. Despite the final result, he posted 29 points. Anderson's evening made it 32 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Manny Macias, who earned nine points.

Blair's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for La Canada, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Blair has already played their next contest, a 73-52 win against Monrovia on the 5th. As for La Canada, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-33 victory against Temple City on the 5th.
