Recap: Savannah Savages vs. St. Pius X Warriors
The Savannah Savages lost against the St. Pius X Warriors back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Savannah fell just short of St. Pius X by a score of 34-31. Savannah has not had much luck with St. Pius X recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
St. Pius X got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kate Sell out in front who scored 11 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Wilderson, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Savannah's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for St. Pius X, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Savannah will challenge Chillicothe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Savannah is coming into the contest with three straight losses on the road, meaning Chillicothe will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for St. Pius X, they will challenge Cameron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Missouri (Cameron is ranked 160th, while St. Pius X is ranked 150th).
