Basketball Recap: Nicholas County Grizzlies vs. Princeton Tigers
Nicholas County played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Princeton Tigers, falling 70-44. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Adrienne Truman and Tateny Mylott certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Truman went 8 for 17 en route to 21 points and eight rebounds, while Mylott went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points. Truman has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Princeton can attribute much of their success to Kalee Wright, who posted 20 points. That's the most points Wright has posted since back in January of 2024. Natalie Rose was another key player, putting up ten points.
This is the second loss in a row for Nicholas County and nudges their season record down to 6-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-7 PikeView (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60% over those games).
