Football Game Preview: Gainesville Leopards vs. Bonham Warriors

The Gainesville Leopards will square off against the Bonham Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses dating back to last season for Gainesville and 14 for Bonham dating back to last season.

Gainesville managed to keep up with Farmersville until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Leopards were beaten by the Farmers 49-13. On the bright side, the 13- point effort marked the Leopards' highest-scoring game to date.

Meanwhile, Bonham played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Sanger and fell 63-6. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-0.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bonham, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Gainesville against Bonham in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-0 victory. Do the Leopards have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
