Basketball Game Preview: Resurrection Christian Cougars vs. Forge Christian Fury

The Resurrection Christian Cougars will face off against the Forge Christian Fury at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Resurrection Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Windsor Charter Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Resurrection Christian blew Windsor Charter Academy out of the water with a 72-19 final score. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Olivia Klein, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lysette Baatz, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 14 points and five boards.

Resurrection Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forge Christian). They blew past The Academy 54-19 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Fury as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Resurrection Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Forge Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
