Basketball Game Preview: Mannford Pirates vs. Cleveland Tigers

The Mannford Pirates will square off against the Cleveland Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mannford will be strutting in after a win while Cleveland will be coming in after a loss.

Mannford took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sperry by a score of 49-41. The victory continues a trend for Mannford in their matchups with Sperry: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Perkins-Tryon at home by a 39-22 margin. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Demons are ranked 127th).

Mannford's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Cleveland, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Mannford didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Cleveland in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 47-42 victory. Will Mannford repeat their success, or does Cleveland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
