While St. Joseph's - Plaucheville's win against Plainview wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Hornets on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Blake Dufour was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Carter Lemoine, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

St. Joseph's - Plaucheville pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for Plainview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph's - Plaucheville will head out to take on Bunkie at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plainview, they will challenge Hicks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
