Softball Recap: Galena Comes Up Short

Galena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hurley Tigers, falling 11-1. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Galena's record is now 0-3. As for Hurley, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Galena is taking a road trip to face off against Seymour at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hurley, they will host Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.89 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
