Football Recap: Furr Falls to Brazosport in First Game of Season

Furr unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Brazosport Exporters 48-0 on Saturday. The Brahmans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Exporters apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

J.J. Barclay went supernova For Brazosport., picking up 93 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 93 receiving yards gave Barclay a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Furr is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Hargrave at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brazosport, they will head out to face off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
