Leechburg has gone a perfect 4-0 against Summit Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Blue Devils will welcome the Knights at 3:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Leechburg has three straight victories, Summit Academy has 26 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Leechburg lost a heartbreaker the last time they played River Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The Blue Devils blew past the Panthers 12-2 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Chase Henry made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Cummings, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Garrett Jones was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Leechburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Summit Academy fell victim to Union Area and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Scotties, falling 18-0.
Leechburg's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Summit Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
Everything went Leechburg's way against Summit Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Leechburg made off with a 24-1 victory. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
