Volleyball Game Preview: La Mirada Matadores vs. Norwalk Lancers

The La Mirada Matadores will venture away from home to square off against the Norwalk Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: La Mirada has struggled recently with 14 losses in a row, while Norwalk will arrive with three straight wins.

La Mirada came up short against Warren on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Norwalk sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Gahr on Friday.

Norwalk was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-102), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-21, 20-25, 25-18, 16-14.

La Mirada's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Norwalk, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

La Mirada couldn't quite get it done against Norwalk in their previous matchup on September 11th as they fell 3-1. Can the Matadores avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
