Volleyball Recap: Concordia Lutheran Comes Up Short at Home Against Lutheran South Academy

Concordia Lutheran unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers on Tuesday. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-15.

Lutheran South Academy was led to victory by Charlie Marsico and Julia Carpentier. Marsico had 13 digs and six assists, while Carpentier had four digs and four aces. Those six assists gave Marsico a new career-high.

Concordia Lutheran has already played their next match (against Taylor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lutheran South Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Porter on the 14th.
