Basketball Recap: Patriot Gets the Win

Patriot won the last time they faced Mountain View, and Cheyenne Sweeney did her part to make sure it happened again. The Patriot Pioneers came out on top against the Mountain View Wildcats by a score of 43-30 on Thursday thanks in part to Sweeney, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

Patriot's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Mountain View, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patriot will challenge Osbourn Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain View, they and Brooke Point will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
