Baseball Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

Blue Ridge scored first but ultimately less than Pickens in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pickens Blue Flame by a score of 5-4. The Fighting Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blue Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Gilpin, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Blue Ridge's record is now 5-3. As for Pickens, the win snapped their losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record.

While Blue Ridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
