Baseball Recap: Oldham County Takes a Loss

Oldham County extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping them down to 10-11. They fell 7-4 to the South Oldham Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colonels of the 8-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Oldham County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Grimes, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

As for South Oldham, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.

On South Oldham's side, the team relied heavily on Luke Belardo, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

While Oldham County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
