Basketball Recap: Fairview Beats Trinity for Their Fourth Straight Win

Fairview had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 57-45 victory over the Trinity Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Trojans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 72-55 loss.

Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Cooper Hughes, who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and nine blocks. Hughes is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Aidan Duncan was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Fairview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Trinity, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Fairview has already played their next matchup, a 46-31 win against Clearview on the 25th. As for Trinity, they will face off against Benedictine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season.
