Basketball Game Preview: Northridge Polar Bears vs. Lehman Catholic Cavaliers

Northridge is on a 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Lehman Catholic is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Northridge Polar Bears will host the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Northridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Lehman Catholic likes a good challenge.

Northridge is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Milton-Union: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Northridge blew Milton-Union out of the water with a 65-30 final score. The Polar Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lehman Catholic hadn't done well against Troy Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Lehman Catholic managed a 42-37 win over Troy Christian. The 42-point effort marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Northridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Lehman Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
