Volleyball Recap: Amphitheater Comes Up Short

Amphitheater lost against Sunnyside back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

When it comes to explaining why Amphitheater lost, don't look at Emily Simpson. Despite the final result, she had five aces.

Amphitheater's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Sunnyside, their victory ended a seven-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.

Amphitheater didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Palo Verde on the 26th. As for Sunnyside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Arizona Lutheran Academy on the 19th.
