Football Game Preview: Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones vs. Gibbs Eagles + How To Watch

Elizabethton has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Gibbs has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Fighting Cyclones will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Elizabethton is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Greeneville just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 48-7 loss at the hands of the Greene Devils. The Fighting Cyclones were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the four matchups prior), but the Greene Devils' defense proved too tough.

Meanwhile, Gibbs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 victory over Carter on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly three points.

Elizabethton's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Gibbs, their win bumped their record up to an identical 8-2.
