Basketball Recap: Upper Columbia Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rosalia back in December of 2024, Upper Columbia Academy came back down to earth. The Upper Columbia Academy Lions were dealt a 65-18 loss at the hands of the Liberty Lancers on Tuesday. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-3. As for Liberty, they pushed their record up to 4-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Upper Columbia Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Freeman at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Freeman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Upper Columbia Academy likes a good challenge. As for Liberty, they are taking a road trip to take on Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
