Basketball Game Preview: McIntosh Chiefs vs. Lovejoy Wildcats

The McIntosh Chiefs will challenge the Lovejoy Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

McIntosh is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 64 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Starr's Mill on Wednesday. They were dealt a 55-18 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. The Chiefs have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lovejoy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Northgate 59-56. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

McIntosh's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Lovejoy, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15.

McIntosh beat Lovejoy 51-43 in their previous meeting back in January. Does McIntosh have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lovejoy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
