Basketball Game Preview: South Lyon Lions vs. Mott Corsairs

South Lyon hasn't had much luck against Mott recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The South Lyon Lions will be home for the holidays to greet the Mott Corsairs at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, South Lyon came up short against Walled Lake Central and fell 68-59.

Meanwhile, Mott put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 48-37 victory over Walled Lake Northern. The 48-point effort marked the Corsairs' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Mott pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for South Lyon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

South Lyon came up short against Mott in their previous meeting back in January, falling 51-43. Can South Lyon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
