Basketball Recap: Bishop Gorman Victorious

Bishop Gorman won the last time they faced Desert Oasis, and Aaliah Spaight did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bishop Gorman Gaels blew past the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks 59-7 on Wednesday thanks in part to Spaight, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 19 points and six steals. The game was her tenth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzee Holton, who posted four points in addition to seven steals and six assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Bishop Gorman's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Desert Oasis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Bishop Gorman will take on Sierra Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Desert Oasis, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Shadow Ridge at 6:30 p.m.
