Softball Recap: Bloom Drops Season-High Score on Rich Township

Bloom's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Rich Township Raptors with a sharp 17-0 victory. The Blazing Trojan's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Bloom let Aryana Knaack and Natalia Banuelos run wild. Knaack scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Banuelos scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Banuelos a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ailani Chavez, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Bloom always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rich Township only posted an OBP of .143.

Bloom's record now sits at 2-5. As for Rich Township, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Bloom has already played their next game (against Stagg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rich Township will be paying especially close attention to the Blazing Trojan's contest: after the Blazing Trojan faces off against the Chargers, they'll take on Rich Township again at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
