Walkertown had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Wheatmore Warriors get on the board and left with a 67-0 victory on Friday. The Wolfpack's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walkertown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jerrell Crawford, who threw for 168 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes. Eric Wiley also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Walkertown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards in five consecutive contests.

Walkertown didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Vartiece Hamilton and Brian Highsmith Jr. Highsmith Jr also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Walkertown pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. As for Wheatmore, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-9.

Coming up, Walkertown will face off against Eastern Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolfpack will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. Wheatmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
