Volleyball Recap: New Bern Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

New Bern came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Havelock Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant New Bern was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-13.

New Bern found their leader in sophomore Gabrielle Pidgeon, who had nine digs and three aces. Desi Byrum also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

New Bern was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last four games.

New Bern's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Havelock, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, New Bern is taking a road trip to challenge White Oak at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Havelock, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northside - Jacksonville at 5:30 p.m.
