Hillcrest had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 58-45 win over the Skyline Grizzlies. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 118th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hillcrest's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gage Blakeslee, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Titan Larsen was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Hillcrest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Hillcrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Skyline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will square off against Shelley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Hillcrest's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
