Football Recap: Lutheran Comes Up Short

Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 20-7 to the Lutheran Northwest Crusaders. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Leading Lutheran Northwest to victory were Raymond Losier and Jonah Breithaupt. Losier rushed for 102 yards and one score on only eight carries, while Breithaupt rushed for 81 yards. Losier's longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lutheran Northwest, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

When Lutheran and Lutheran Northwest next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Warriors will try to stop Hamady's three-game winning streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lutheran Northwest will square off against Oakland Christian and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
