Softball Recap: St. Thomas More Comes Up Short

St. Thomas More fell victim to St. Joseph-Ogden and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 11-0. The Sabers haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

St. Thomas More saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Gooding, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

St. Thomas More's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Thomas More will square off against Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
