Volleyball Recap: Conant Takes a Loss

Conant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Lake Park Lancers. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lancers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15.

Natalie Jaracz paced Conant's offense, picking up four kills. Jaracz got some help from Sienna McCarthy and her eight assists.

Leading Lake Park to victory were Evelyn Voytek and Deven Townsend. Voytek had 17 assists and four digs, while Townsend had ten digs and two assists. That's the most assists Townsend has posted since back in September.

Conant's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Lake Park, their win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.

Conant didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Prospect on the 7th. As for Lake Park, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Glenbard West on the 2nd.
