Powell County lost against Breathitt County back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pirates fell 3-1 to the Bobcats. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Powell County's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Breathitt County, they pushed their record up to 16-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Powell County will challenge Estill County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Breathitt County, they will host Morgan County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
