Baseball Game Preview: Sherman Indian Braves vs. San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions

The Sherman Indian Braves will square off against the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Sherman Indian put up the most runs they have all season last Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over California Military Institute. Considering the Braves' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when San Jacinto Leadership Academy faced off against Hamilton on Monday. The Lions came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 11-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

The team relied heavily on Anthony Paez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Erin Pickeron also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

San Jacinto Leadership Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Sherman Indian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
