Softball Recap: Glen Ridge Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Orange on Wednesday, Glen Ridge came back down to earth. The Ridgers fell just short of the Bayonne Bees by a score of 5-4 on Friday.

Siri ?Socks? Krabbe put in work no matter where she played. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Glen Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bayonne, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Ridge will head out to face off against Verona at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bayonne, they will venture away from home to square off against Dayton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
