Football Recap: New Trier Trevians vs. Yorkville Foxes
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Naperville North, New Trier was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took down the Yorkville Foxes 24-8. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trevians also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.
Despite the loss, Yorkville still got an impressive performance from Dyllan Malone, who picked up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown. Malone's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
The win got New Trier back to even at 1-1. As for Yorkville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
New Trier will head out to square off against Prospect at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Trier is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Yorkville, they will venture away from home to challenge Joliet West at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
