Baseball Recap: Deland Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

DeLand had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt University on Thursday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 11-3 win. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 6-2 victory the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

DeLand's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-13. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for University, they now have a losing record of 9-10-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeLand will welcome Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against East River at 1:00 p.m.
