If Patuxent wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Northern, they should've done a better job of containing Alyassa Lane. The Northern Patriots blew past the Patuxent Panthers 55-26 on Friday thanks to Lane, who went 9-for-18 to rack up 18 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two).

Erin Murphy was another key player, putting up five points and 13 boards. She is becoming a predictor of Northern's success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 12-6 (and 2-4 when she doesn't).

Northern's record is now 14-10. As for Patuxent, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Northern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Patuxent, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on McDonough at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Patuxent is facing McDonough at the right time seeing as McDonough is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
