Basketball Recap: Burns Sci-Tech Takes a Loss

Burns Sci-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Crooms Academy Panthers 77-36. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-28 back in December of 2024.

Julian Gill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crooms Academy, going 8 for 15 en route to 24 points. Gill's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kenai Anderson was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Burns Sci-Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Crooms Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Burns Sci-Tech has already played their next game, a 59-16 loss against Hampden DuBose Academy on the 13th. As for Crooms Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-63 defeat against Lyman on the 14th.
