Basketball Recap: Mountain Pointe Skates Past Rancho Solano Prep with Ease

Mountain Pointe was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Rancho Solano Prep on Saturday. The Mountain Pointe Pride took their match with ease, bagging a 67-40 victory over the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs.

Among those leading the charge was Kaden Gollhuir, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Isaac, who went 5 of 6 en route to 12 points.

Mountain Pointe was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Rancho Solano Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Porter Vujs and Matthew Quinlan. Vujs posted 15 points, while Quinlan put up 11 points. The dominant performance gave Vujs a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Johnson, who had five points and seven rebounds.

Mountain Pointe now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Rancho Solano Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Mountain Pointe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 73-46 defeat against Notre Dame Prep on the 2nd. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-23 win against BASIS Phoenix on the 2nd.
