Basketball Game Preview: Capital Golden Eagles vs. Borah Lions

The Capital Golden Eagles will square off against the Borah Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Capital will be strutting in after a victory while Borah will be coming in after a defeat.

Capital is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Ridgevue, who was ranked 19th at the time (Capital was ranked ninth). Capital managed an 87-81 win over Ridgevue on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Borah's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. The match between them and Boise didn't end well, with Borah falling 58-39.

Borah's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Capital, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Capital was able to grind out a solid win over Borah in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 67-57. Will Capital repeat their success, or does Borah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
