Basketball Recap: Cherokee Washington Takes a Loss

After flying high against South Central Calhoun last Thursday, Cherokee Washington came back down to earth. The Cherokee Washington Braves fell 61-49 to the West Lyon Wildcats on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Wildcats are ranked 29th).

Cherokee Washington's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for West Lyon, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

As of now, neither Cherokee Washington nor West Lyon have any future games scheduled.
