Phoebus waltzed into their game on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Lakeland Cavaliers. For the Phantoms, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Cavaliers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2015.

Phoebus got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 32-34, 25-17, 24-26, 15-7.

Phoebus' win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Lakeland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Phoebus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Woodside on the 18th. As for Lakeland, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Western Branch on the 18th.
