Softball Recap: Grove City Comes Up Short

If Grove City was riding high fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Oil City on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Sharon Tigers on Friday, falling 15-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Remi Stillwagon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Grove City's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4. As for Sharon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Grove City didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 victory against Jamestown on the 15th. As for Sharon, they have also already played their next match, a 15-0 win against Slippery Rock on the 16th.
