Preview: Straughn Tigers vs. Red Level Tigers
After two games on the road, Straughn is heading back home. They will take on the Red Level Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Straughn is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Red Level in Alabama (Straughn is ranked 143rd, while Red Level is ranked 314th).
Straughn can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Pleasant Home on the road to the tune of 51-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Straughn has posted yet this season.
Ora Hall was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Allyx Williamson, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Red Level lost to Shields on the road by a decisive 50-35 margin on Saturday.
Straughn is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Red Level, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Everything came up roses for Straughn against Red Level in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 52-23 win. Does Straughn have another victory up their sleeve, or will Red Level turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
